From Bangkok, we flew to Vientiane, Laos. We've been experiencing sensory overload since we've been here.
How do I describe it in a few words?
Read:
Hot, humid, soupy air.
Delicious street food cooked to order. (prawns, grilled chicken, sticky rice, mango, french bread)
Maniacal drivers (pedestrians and bicyclists beware)
Diners next to the Mekong River while enjoying the sunset
Wats and temples everywhere
Monks browsing at the shopping mall
A steady stream of motorbikes
Construction and modernization amid memories of the past
Sou enjoying the sunset.
Sunset over the Mekong.

There's a haiku hidden in there somewhere - I just know it.
ahh, the Mekong. I'm trying to figure how many photos of it you will post on this trip.
Glad to hear you made it to your destination safely. Did all your "bike parts" make it as well?
Yes, all of the 'bike parts' made it. With a fee, of course.
argh....the dreaded fee. Well, you could always sell those bikes before you come home and avoid the fee on the way back...Just a thought.
Relieved we did a decent packing job though.
